One thing I don’t understand is how lifestyle photographers do it. I love lifestyle photography. I gain tons of inspiration from lifestyle photographers…..but everytime I do it, it turns out to be a flop. Like, “What was I trying to take a picture of again?” I mean really guys, IT IS TAKING PICTURES OF LIFE. How hard can this be? But yeah…So I though I’d just keep giving it a try and actually post some of my pictures. I know I need to become a little bit more creative with this..hehe, but there ya go
I like the pics (as usual). You’re a great photographer Bess, keep working at it! But don’t expect to ever be satisfied no matter how great you get. I find that our biggest critics are always ourselves. 🙂

I think sometimes it is just a one in a million kind of thing. When you see the amazing lifestyle photography pictures from the “pros” you aren’t seeing the 3,746 other random shots they took that day!! Keep it up and savor those one in a million shots that look amazing!!

What is lifestyle photography? People? Or the way people live? You need to have your camera ready at all times for that.

It could be people and it could be simply a picture of your laundry basket:) It’s basically unposed or non-staged photography.
